Experience

Mr. Stephen Lau has handled and advised clients on a vast range of litigation matters including on the civil side injunctive relief, shareholders disputes, commercial contracts disputes, arbitration, personal injuries, professional negligence and disciplinary matters, intellectual property proceedings, conveyancing litigation, debts collection, tenancy disputes, family matters, employment relation, road works compensation claims, lands compulsory sale, etc., and on the criminal side as advocates or instructing solicitors both for the prosecution and the defence.

Mr. Stephen Lau also has broad experiences in both local and cross-border commercial transactions embracing listing works and related due diligences in Hong Kong, joint ventures set up in China and elsewhere, intellectual properties related deals involving technology transfer, licensing and franchising, general corporate finance, merger and acquisition, companies formation and shareholders agreement, insolvency restructuring, sale and purchase of ships, general trading agreement like agency, distributorship, leasing etc.

He has also acted for clients relating to general conveyancing matters, shopping arcades tenancy handling, properties finance, New Territories land transactions, probate administration and management, will drafting, estate duty planning, assets protection planning, immigration affairs, intellectual properties registration and protection, notarization works, company secretarial and nominees services.
